		ICQ, IP Exploit

The Icq Networks Are now starting to try and stop the Use of
sniffers in Getting an ICQ users IP address. They are becoming success-
ful in this. There for some ICQ sniffs you may find, will not work.
There is an alternative to this however.

The messages are no longer sent through the server, they are
sent using a direct TCP connection. Meaning if you are a dos prompt,
you are able to get this IP address from a program called NETSTAT.

In order to use this you must be messaged, or message
someone else with in a couple of minutes of you tring this.

Type: NETSTAT -N This will show you the last few IP address that
you have been in contact with, including ICQ. There are other
commands you can use in order to get different types of information.

Displays protocol statistics and current TCP/IP network connections.

NETSTAT [-a] [-e] [-n] [-s] [-p proto] [-r] [interval]

-a Displays all connections and listening ports. (Server-side
                connections are normally not shown).
-e Displays Ethernet statistics. This may be combined with the -s
                option.
-n Displays addresses and port numbers in numerical form.
-p proto Shows connections for the protocol specified by proto; proto
may be tcp or udp. If used with the -s option to display
per-protocol statistics, proto may be tcp, udp, or ip.
-r Displays the contents of the routing table.
-s Displays per-protocol statistics. By default, statistics are
shown for TCP, UDP and IP; the -p option may be used to specify
                a subset of the default.
interval Redisplays selected statistics, pausing interval seconds
between each display. Press CTRL+C to stop redisplaying
statistics. If omitted, netstat will print the current
                configuration information once.

This Extra security with ICQ does not mean that all ICQ IP
Sniffers wont work. It just means that some will not. So I hope this
information has been helpful.
